Ferrari has released the first official photos of the convertible version of the new F430 sports car. The power comes from the same 4308cc V8 engine in the coupe that produces 483bhp directed to the rear wheels via Ferrari's selectable electronic differential. It will be capable of a maximum speed of 193 mph and 0-100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds.

Weighing 1520 kg, the spider is 70 kg heavier than the coupe,due to reinforced windscreen to protect occupants in the event of an accident, internal strengthening of the doors (against side impacts) and the electric motor that powers the roof.
