HUMMER
H1
The H1 is available in two body styles,  four-door open top or four-door hardtop. The Hummer offers only one
engine: a 205-hp turbodiesel V8 borrowed from previous-generation GM trucks. Coupled to a four-speed
automatic transmission. The Hummer H1 goes from zero to 60 mph in a lollygagging 16 seconds, and its top
speed is only 83 mph. Don't expect carlike, or even trucklike, handling either. The Hummer lumbers and
wallows its way around town the way you might expect a 20-year-old military vehicle would.
H2 SUV
The H2 comes in two body styles (SUV and SUT) and one
trim level, but two major packages known as the
Adventure Series and the Lux Series add numerous
options.  All H2s are powered by GM's 6.0-liter V8 rated
at 316 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque. A heavy-duty
4L65-E four-speed automatic transmission handles
the shifting chores, while a full-time dual-range transfer
case distributes the power to the individual
driveshafts. Despite being slightly downsized compared
to the original, the H2 still feels massive on the road.
The ride is slightly stiffer than that of a Suburban or
Tahoe, but not so much as to be uncomfortable. The H2's
off-road prowess is easily the best in its class, with steep
approach and departure angles, plenty of ground
clearance and ample wheel travel In the SUT a removable
midgate separates the passenger area from the
open cargo area. At a touch of a button, the driver can
lower all four windows and the rear midgate window.
